WRLS PROGRAMMING...

MUSIC
The format of WRLS is "lite adult contemporary". This format appeals to the largest segment of the population and consists of hit music from the late 70's all the way to today's top artists.

WEATHER
WRLS is the only Hayward radio station with a satellite weather service. We offer weather reports three times an hour with several updates throughout our broadcast day.

NEWS
WRLS is the only Hayward radio station with national network news and a full-time news director. CNN News is heard at the beginning of every hour. Local news is featured through the morning, with updates during the noon hour.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS
In response to listener requests, specific programs have been developed that are geared toward the adult listeners in our audience:

• Lifestyle's North - a weekly half-hour program broadcast live from a local restaurant. Lifestyles North is a current events/news program that beats with the pulse of the community. Working professionals, local experts, and in-the-know people are interviewed on informative and sometimes controversial issues that affect our listeners.
• Sportsman's Headquarters - local hunting and fishing guide Tim Duffy informs residents and visitors to the Hayward Area about activities throughout the year. Hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, canoeing, DNR projects or more. The subjects are endless all are interesting.
• Coaches Corner - during high school sports months, 34 year WRLS veteran Dick Bender produces a weekly hour-long "live" interview show with area coaches. Strategies and game plans of past a upcoming games are discussed giving added insight to our loyal sports listeners.
