 Hi,
I'm Gary Hessel. I came to WRLS in the spring of 1991 as an on-air
personality. Since that time, Dick Bender and I have developed our morning
show, cleverly titled "The Show", I have also taken on the responsibility
of being our Program and Music Director. In 1997 I also became an active
part of our sales team. I grew up about an hour south of here on a dairy
farm near Cameron. After high school, I attended Brown Institute in
Minneapolis and received an associate degree in the applied science of
broadcasting. After coming to Hayward, I was blessed with the fortune of
having three great children (Allison, Dalton & Hunter). I also own a
mobile DJ company (Hessel's Music Machine) specializing in playing for
weddings and any events where music and a microphone come in handy. In my
free time I enjoy spending time with my children, coaching their little
league team, playing softball, hunting and generally spending time in the
outdoors of this beautiful area. You can write me at
